Camping – Terms & Conditions
Camping
- Admission is only permitted after registering at reception (open until 6:30 p.m.).
- At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians and supervised by them at all times.
- The reception, cafe and shop is open between 9:00 – 16:30 daily and during the camping season it is open from 8:30 – 18:30. If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
- Duke of Edinburgh students & staff welcome.
Pitches
- All pitches are non-electric grass pitches – one tent, roof tent, trailer tent or campervan (max T4 size) per pitch.
- Minimum spacing of 4 metres between pitches.
- Pitch size 2.3 x 4.5 metres – total pitch size 10.35 metres.
- Maximum number per pitch is 6 people (including adults or children).
- Maximum 2 vehicles per pitch.
In order to make your booking – we require the names of all people staying on site, and for the person making the booking their address, email & phone number and the vehicle registration for anyone on site.
Arrivals and departures
- Arrivals can arrive on the site anytime from 10:00 on the day of arrival.
- Departures – please leave the camping field by 11:00 on the day of departure
- Late arrivals must notify the reception as soon as possible.
- No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
- Please choose any available pitch on arrival.
Extras
- A charge of £0.50 applies for a shower token which lasts for about 3 minutes.
- Facilities/activities including entrance to the adventure farm and soft play are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.
- Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.
Dogs
2 well behaved dogs are welcome (per pitch) in the camp field & cafe area but must be kept on a lead & supervised at all times due to the animals and children on site. They are not allowed in the farm yard, soft play or outdoor play areas.
Please note the site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
General
- Please note that the shower facilities are unisex.
- Quiet hours must be respected between 22:00 and 7:00. This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund or discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals, early departures or in the event of force majeure.
If there are any issues or in the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management’s attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
- There are not any electric charging points on the camping site.
- There are no fridge storage facilities.
- We are able to freeze any icepacks that you have.
Occupancy
No hen/stag parties permitted.
The site caters for families and couples and bookings from all other groups must ensure they are considerate of the family setting and adhere to the terms and conditions of the site. are not accepted.
Safety
Barbecues & firepits are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times, however there may be occasions that they will not be permitted in windy and/or extreme hot dry weather conditions. If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
- Firearms are not permitted.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
- You are welcome to enjoy getting to know the animals on the farm but please do not touch or feed the animals.
Vehicles
Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No vehicle movement between 22:30 and 08:00. And vehicles once in the campfield should not exceed any speed over 10 mph.
Visitors
Visitors are not permitted on the campsite.
