The perfect place to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a coffee and get completely lost staring at the incredible views of the Jurassic Coastline.

From exploring native wildlife habitats, heathlands, and beaches to joining one of the many National Trust events at Studland, there are endless ways to enjoy this beautiful area. You might spend your day walking the South Coast Footpath, taking the dog for a scenic stroll, building sandcastles by the shore, wandering up to Old Harry Rocks, or starting early with a refreshing sea dip.

Adventure seekers can hire a pedalo, SUP, or dinghy from Studland Watersports, book an action-packed day with Fore Adventure, or head out horse trekking with Studland Stables, while those in search of relaxation can unwind in a seaweed bath spa or soak up the warmth of a wood-fired sauna at Studland Sauna Hut.

Middle Beach to South Beach (easy): A gentle walk along the sand and promenade linking Studland Bay’s beaches. Perfect for families, dogs (seasonal restrictions apply), and a relaxed seaside stroll with views across to Sandbanks and Old Harry in the distance.

Middle Beach to Old Harry Rocks (moderate): One of the area’s most iconic walks. From Middle Beach, join the South West Coast Path and head east towards Old Harry Rocks. The route climbs gently over cliffs and heathland, rewarding walkers with dramatic coastal views. Allow 1.5–2 hours return.

Middle Beach to Studland Heath & Agglestone Rock (moderate): Head inland from the beach to explore Studland’s open heathland, with purple heather in late summer and wide skies year-round. The walk can be extended to the Agglestone Rock for a quieter, nature-focused route away from the cliffs.
